MCP Self-Service
Connect apps, organize personal toolkits, set up clients, and manage your Dynamic Gateway.
MCP Self-Service is where you manage the apps, toolkits, and clients connected to your Dynamic Gateway. Open Your Apps in Airia, or go to https://airia.ai/gateway/mcp-self-service.
Your organization controls which apps are available and may assign toolkits to you. Within those boundaries, you can connect your own accounts, create personal toolkits, review recent activity, and connect your gateway to supported MCP clients.
Your primary Dynamic Gateway is already available. You do not need to create a Gateway before using this page.
Your dashboard
The dashboard gives you a quick view of your current setup.
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Gateway status | Whether your Dynamic Gateway is healthy or an app needs attention |
| Your Dynamic Gateway | Your primary endpoint, connected apps, and a link to gateway management |
| Toolkits | Personal toolkits you created and toolkits assigned by an admin |
| Apps | A shortcut to the complete app catalog and your connections |
| Auxiliary gateways | Other Tenant or Personal Gateways available to you |
If you have not connected anything yet, the dashboard guides you to browse apps, create your first personal toolkit, and set up a client.
Your Dynamic Gateway
Your Dynamic Gateway is your primary MCP endpoint. It adjusts to the apps and tools available to you, including:
- Featured apps your admin has made available by default.
- Toolkits assigned to you, one of your groups, or your whole organization.
- Apps you enable for yourself.
- Personal toolkits you create for your own tasks.
Dynamic Gateway always uses Radar, so a large collection of apps does not require every tool to be loaded into an AI client's context at the same time.
Browse and connect apps
Open Apps to see every app your Dynamic Gateway can reach. Search by name or filter by category, then open an app to review its description, connection status, and available tools.
App statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Connected | Your account is connected and the app is ready to use |
| Reconnect needed | The connection stopped working and needs your attention |
| Setup needed | The app needs connection details before you can use it |
| Not connected | The app is available, but you have not connected your account |
| Off | The app is connected but currently muted in your Dynamic Gateway |
| Disabled by your admin | The app is not currently available for you to use |
Connect an app
Select the app from the Apps page.
Click Connect or Configure, depending on how the app authenticates.
Sign in to the app or enter the requested connection details. Review the requested permissions before approving access.
Return to the app page and confirm that it shows Connected.
Connecting an app does not automatically add it to a personal toolkit. You can use it as an individually enabled app or add it to one or more personal toolkits.
Switch an app off
Use the app's switch when you do not want its tools available through your personal Dynamic Gateway selections. Switching it off keeps your credential in place, so you can restore it without signing in again.
If an app stops working, open it and click Reconnect or Re-authorize. See Credential Recovery for other places Airia may prompt you to repair a connection.
Work with toolkits
A toolkit is a focused collection of apps and tools for a task. Assigned and personal toolkits appear together in the Toolkits section, but they have different owners.
| Assigned toolkit | Personal toolkit | |
|---|---|---|
| Created by | An admin | You |
| Who receives it | Assigned users, groups, or the whole tenant | Only you |
| Can you rename it? | No | Yes |
| Can you switch it on or off? | No | Yes |
| Can you change its apps or tools? | No | Yes |
Assigned toolkits
An assigned toolkit appears automatically when an admin assigns it to you, to a group you belong to, or to your whole organization. You can use its tools, but only an admin can change or remove the toolkit.
Some apps still require your personal sign-in. If an assigned toolkit reports that an app needs attention, open the app from Apps and connect or repair your account.
If you need different apps or tools in an assigned toolkit, contact your admin. Create a personal toolkit when you need a variation that only affects your own Dynamic Gateway.
Create a personal toolkit
In the Toolkits section, click New toolkit. Give it a name that describes the task it supports.
Add one or more apps. Connecting an app first makes it ready to use as soon as the toolkit is enabled.
Keep all tools from an app, or select only the tools the task needs.
Use the toolkit toggle to add its selected tools to your Dynamic Gateway. Switch it off when you no longer need that task-specific set.
You can reopen a personal toolkit at any time to rename it, add or remove apps, change tool selections, or delete it.
Manage your gateway
Open Manage gateway from the dashboard to view and maintain your primary endpoint.
Gateway address
Copy the address when you need to connect another MCP client manually. The address remains your primary Dynamic Gateway endpoint even as its apps and toolkits change.
Radar cache
Radar keeps frequently used tools ready for direct access. From the cache panel, you can:
- Change how many tools the cache holds.
- Pin important tools so they remain ready.
- Unpin or remove tools you no longer need cached.
Removing a tool from the cache does not remove it from your gateway. Radar can discover it again when an agent needs it.
Usage and connected clients
The management page shows recent tool-call activity and the clients currently connected to your Dynamic Gateway. Use this information to confirm that a client is active or to spot an unexpected gap in activity.
Set up an MCP client
Use Set up a client to connect your Dynamic Gateway to a supported AI application.
Select the application you want to connect.
Airia provides instructions and the correct Dynamic Gateway address for that client.
Complete the sign-in requested by the client. Each person connects using their own identity.
Return to Manage gateway and check the Plugged in section after the client connects.
Some clients need to be restarted before newly available tools appear.
Review activity
Open Gateway activity to review recent calls made through your gateways. You can filter the list, see whether calls succeeded, failed, or were denied, and expand a call when request or response details are available.
Use the activity page to answer questions such as:
- Did the client reach the gateway?
- Which tool did the agent call?
- Did the call succeed or fail?
- Was the call denied by policy?
For organization-wide investigation, contact an admin with access to MCP Monitoring.
Auxiliary gateways
The dashboard may also list other Gateways available to you. These are separate from your primary Dynamic Gateway and have their own addresses.
- A Tenant auxiliary gateway is configured by an admin.
- A Personal auxiliary gateway is a Gateway you created for yourself.
Open an auxiliary gateway to copy its address or review its configuration. Adding or removing an auxiliary gateway does not change the toolkits served by your primary Dynamic Gateway.
