Use CasesEnterprise
Register and track AI use cases through intake, assessment, and approval.
Use Cases are the core unit of governance. Each use case represents an AI deployment or initiative your organization wants to register, assess for risk, and track over time.
The Use Cases view displays all registered use cases with their current status. Depending on your configuration, this view may be shown as a list or a kanban board organized by lifecycle stage.
Use Case Lifecycle
A use case moves through the following stages, in order. See The Governance Flow for what happens at each one.

| Register | Intake: the use case's intended use is described and any assets are linked |
| Triage | Exploratory assessments, before the asset is connected (only when no asset was linked at Register) |
| Build & Connect | The asset is built and connected to the use case (only when no asset was linked at Register) |
| Assess | Deeper assessment confirms the use case and its risk levels; the Nutrition Label is sealed |
| Mitigate | A treatment is chosen for each risk, and controls are tracked to completion |
| Approve | Approvers review the full record and vote; the Receipt is sealed when the gate resolves |
| Monitor | The use case is live and governed; signals are watched against its assets |
A use case can also be Quarantined or Archived, which takes it out of the active flow. For how use cases move forward and back between stages, see Stage Transitions.
Versions
A use case that is live in Monitor gets a new version when something it depends on changes substantively, such as the model on an agent it governs. The new version returns to Assess, and the previous version keeps its Nutrition Label and Receipt as a permanent record. See Use Case Versions.
